'no time' is my excuse these days. Now - i'm making time..at 1 in the morning.
Its been close to 6 months since I started work. 6 months full of learning/reading/working (yeah i do "real" work sometimes)/bumming. Plenty of coffee sessions too. Most friends are back here now, but timing's difficult sometimes. I wish we all worked less hours, but thats not gonna be realized anytime soon. Now doesn't that sound sad.. but it isn't lah.
It's not that bad during attachment times, which is this month :) Feeling no pangs of guilt, I left the office at exactly 5.45pm today. The current dept is quite fun. Lost playing in the badminton tournament last week with Tim and Kenny. Aiks but it was good fun! Now I'm hooked to the idea of playing on weekends..
Also went Kuala Selangor to see the fireflies on Saturday. There weren't many, but the experience was great. Stars were twinkling in the clear night sky, utter silence and voila - fireflies 'twinkling' against the night sky. I think I need more of this... but once in awhile only, bcos me still city girl.
Cities brings me to the topic of job postings. Our postings (to other branches in Msia) are imminent. I shd know mine by mid June/July. A friend's getting posted to KotaKinabalu next month hence interesting to know where we'll all end up. Who knows I might start posting from Kota Bharu next?!
Job's fine, no major issues so far. Minus side is I've gotta take some credit professional qualifications. Luckily I like reading all that, else gonna pengsan (like = can take it).
Part of my rambling considerations now - to buy a car - but which car???
I want a sensible no nonsense car within my budget (<1k>RM100,000 which is around AUD 35,000. Almost AUD13k or so more than the Aussie one! Unbelievable, the crazy car prices here. So that leaves me with not many choices. Can't afford anything other than Perodua or shd I just throw the towel and get the dirt-cheap (comparatively) Iswara, which every other person is getting. Though thats notorious for power windows and doors that'll almost definitely fail. Plus those rubber seals on the doors. Aihh...
