Its Dec - I need the hols.

A whirlwind of a month just flew by. 'Work' enters the 2nd month, but tomorrow's only my 2nd day at the department.

Its been a long long time since I've had time to sit down and do nothing. Everyday its rush here rush there.. I'm tired of KL. Tired of the lousy air. Tired of unfriendly people. Talking bout "unfriendly" folks, I did a minor experiment over the past 3 weeks. Every day at the water cooler / lift I said good morning to at least one person. All looked at me strangely, none bothered to say "good morning" back. Result - F.A.I.L. Whatever happened to common courtesy?!

Other than that lousy bit.. life is.. hectic.

Went to Outward Bound school, had fun, came back unharmed cept for some (actually alot!) unknown insect bites. Alot of pics, no time to load le.

Richard came and went back 3 weekends ago.

Visited Penang with SiowPing last weekend on a very rushed trip ~ did as much as we could over the weekend, with many thanks to YehHan. Saw some icky snakes, took some photos, went Swatow Lane and did the usual stuff.. I must add - Msia never fails to surprise me. We "jammed" really teruk on the North-South highway half the journey back on a normal weekend :(

Broke my "i-ain't-drinking-in-KL-anymore" vow really quickly. First it was at the Korean restaurant "omg how can we not have soju!" ; then it was the wine with the old "must-hv-wine" friend; then it was the drinks with the "we-must-go-drinking" buddy; then it was the drinks at the dinner; then more drinks with the fellow trainees this weekend. Notice how it goes on and on.. Gawd next time someone pls refuse to hand me the drinks menu thankyou very much.
*note- that vow was made in early consideration of my imminent (now current) poorly financial status. Which leads me to my next point.

Got my first pay as trainee a few days ago. Mental calculation -- 4 days work in Melbourne = 3 weeks work in Malaysia. Note to self - welcome to KL!
